We have been extremely fortunate to have been donated two rare and wonderful Cavendish Moreton RA oil paintings to sell to the highest bidder with proceeds to be given to the Future Fund.

I am so very grateful to Michael and Lizzie Porter who have donated these two paintings in the name of Michael’s late father, Harry Porter, who was instrumental in setting up our Dinghy Club. His vision has blossomed into the vibrant and exciting BSDC we have operational today and this contribution will help buy much needed dinghies for another generation of cadets.

Having consulted with Nick at Island Fine Arts, he tells me that they are indeed fine examples of Cavendish’s work, depicting scenes from around the harbour in winter.
We are setting a reserve well below his valuations and are so fortunate to be able to offer them to you today.
