Cancellation Policy

At Bembridge Sailing Club, we are committed to providing an excellent experience for all our members, non-members, and visitors. To ensure the smooth operation of our events and dinners, we have established the following cancellation policy:

Cancellation Policy

Notice Requirement:

• Events: Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled event to avoid any charges.
• Dinners/Rallies: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled dinner to avoid any charges.

Cancellation Procedure:

• Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to sec@bembridgesailingclub.org or by calling the club office at 01983 872237 during office hours 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Refunds and Charges:

• Events:
  • Deposits are intended to secure your booking and are non-refundable upon cancellation.
  • Cancellations made 14 or more days before the event will receive a full refund of any fees paid.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will incur a charge of 50% of the total fee.
  • No-shows or cancellations made on the day of the event will be charged the full amount.
• Dinners:
  • Cancellations made 7 or more days before the dinner will receive a full refund of any fees paid.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the dinner will incur a charge of 50% of the total fee.
  • No-shows or cancellations made on the day of the dinner will be charged the full amount.

Special Circumstances:

• We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can arise. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss potential accommodations or exceptions to the policy on a case-by-case basis.

Booking Modifications:

• Modifications to the booking, such as changing the date or the number of attendees, must also be made within the cancellation notice periods specified above. Changes requested within these periods may not be accommodated and could be subject to the same cancellation charges.

Confirmation of Cancellation:

• A confirmation of your cancellation will be sent to you via email. Please ensure you receive this confirmation to avoid any misunderstandings.
